Between us £1.84.

Football Tournament

On a very wet and extremely windy Sunday afternoon, I play in a 6-a-side football tournament to help out a friend who needs players. I score in more ways than one. 😉 Once on the pitch and several times off it. With coins 😉

At Tewkesbury Sports Centre, I find 6 coins making up 35p. (1 x 20p, 2 x 5p, 2 x 2p and 1 x 1p). Excellent win.

Burning down the house !

Tonight we wanted to do a different walk and decided to walk towards Abbeymead and so I put a couple of potatoes in the oven and off we went. This gave us an hour and a half to get out, walk Nibs, find coins and return.

Well we did, I found the first, a penny in a layby and then we moved on to an old boarded up pub in Abbeymead. Tiff found 2 pennies there and then onto the car park there, she found a 5p too. Nice win.

Anyway, we made our way back and we were pretty much on time to arrive home within the hour and a half cooking time. As we approached the house I heard a fire alarm going off and mentioned to Tiff that that often happened to me as the smoke alarms are very sensitive and it’s easy to do. As we got closer, I realised it was actually coming from my house !

We rush inside and there’s a horrible stink in the air (not my normal fart smell this time) and there’s gross smoke coming from the cooker. It transpires I left the grill dial on from a previous cooking experience (I normally turn the cooker off at the wall too you see) and the grill had essentially melted the grill pan. We were lucky ! Road Golding can be dangerous.

Later on on a night walk with Nibs, Tiff found a further penny. 5 coins for the day !

Walk to Mum & Dad’s

On a walk to Mum and Dad’s house for tea, I find 11p (a 10p and a penny) and Tiff adds 1p to her amount.

Earlier today, Tiff found 4p inside the Co-op in Brockworth by accidentally standing on it ! She heard the clink, looked down and there it was. Magic.

Paul’s Tenth

I found my tenth pound coin on Sunday morning following a football game at Coney Hill. Coming back to their place to get changed, I spot a nice shiny on the car park floor – there it is, a cool £1 coin. WIN !

That’s our thirteenth pound coin in the game to date. Quality.

3 Outings

Tiff was out eventing with her horse, M-Dog and so Nibs was left with me. We went out walking twice in the day and both walks proved fruitful for Road Gold.
On the first walk I found two 2 pence pieces around Coopers Edge.

On the second walk I found a single penny. Nibs enjoyed both walks and he plopped both times. I know you wanted to know this !

Tiff came back in the evening from her event and we did a bike ride. Tiff was tired and couldn’t get her “eye in” so we cut it short. But I did find 1p on waste ground I have visited before.
